Please Note: All Candidates are required to have access (within your club environment) to suitable video/audio equipment in order to capture your concluding mentoring session and share with your allocated mentor.
The FAW C Certificate has been designed for coaches who have completed the FAW Football Leaders Award or Introduction to Football Coaching Certificate and want to further improve their coaching knowledge and skills when supporting players within a practice.
The course has been designed to support the modern coach, with education consisting of online modules, distance learning, webinars (utilising Zoom.us) as-well as the requirement to coach within your own coaching environment
Candidates’ will be provided with a designated mentor to support their individual journey across the FAW C Certificate, their mentor will be in place to support in all aspects of the course, including how to relate to the practical information and challenging coaches to be creative with their thinking to support their own players, based on their age/ability.

During the course, coaches learn about the key requirements of supporting an individual within modern football, developing players across our four pillars (Technical, Physical, Psychological and Social) and their ability to plan, prepare and reflect on sessions. There is no formal assessment.

Outcomes
The FAW C Certificate is the level 2 qualification in Wales.
It supports the growth of youth coaches working across grassroots and academy football and extends the knowledge of senior coaches working in the game.
